Day Fourteen - Plane trip back

This morning we got up early, had breakfast, and headed to the airport! Our plane was meant to leave and 9:50am so we had to be there two hours before! Auntie Pauline drove us to the airport, and when we got there she sadly said goodbye!! We were very disappointed to say good-bye, but all god things must come to an end! When we looked at the board which had all the flights on it, it said that our flight was to leave at 12:25!! We thought that was strange, so we checked our luggage in and asked the lady there! She said she didn't know why it was delayed, but she did give us a $15 food voucher, since we will be waiting for another 2 hours!! We were very disapointed because we could of stayed at Auntie Paulines for another two hours, but she had already gone!! I then texted auntie Judith and Grandma to tell them that our flight was delayed, so we hoped they got the message!! We wandered around the shops then had mini pizza's for lunch!! It was soon time to board our plane, and we were very relieved because the 2 hours went extremely slowly!! The flight back to Auckland was good and Grandma and grandpa and Auntie Judith were there to pick us up!!

Day Thirteen - Kangaroo's

This morning we rode on some bikes to another playground/park, quite close to the house, and played there until lunchtime! Watched a Family DVD of their time in Holland and then in the afternoon I played with the Badminton bats with Aidan. I also got to feed Fat Albert, who is a bird that sits on your hand and eats seeds! We went out to a restaurant for dinner and I had Chicken Nuggets and Chips, and for dessert I had a chocolate sauce covered ice-cream!!
Saw heaps of Kangaroo's while we were driving home! One even crossed a main road right in front of us!! They are quite big ones!!

Day Twelve - River Rocks Park

This morning we went to River Rocks Park! It's an awesome park and it has this massive climbing thing! I have some pictures of me on it! I climbed to the top!!
The flying fox was good as well but not as good as the One tree hill one in Auckland, New Zealand! We mucked around at the park for the rest of the morning, then had lunch and I played on the PlayStation again! We had this yummy Corn Beef for dinner as well!

Day Eleven - Bye-Bye Jonty!

This morning we got up, had Breakfast, and started packing! EVERYONE was busy packing, or had something to do because we had to check out of the apartment at 10:00am!!! Auntie Pauline brought her car with the trailer, and Uncle Peter brought his car, both to pick us up! Auntie Pauline brought the trailer because we needed the extra room because Uncle Peter and Auntie Belinda had their suitcases as well!! We drove to Auntie Pauline's House and then had lunch!! We took some photo's but then Uncle Peter, Auntie Belinda and Jonty all had to go! Played PlayStation for the rest of the afternoon and then we had a yummy roast chicken for dinner (cooked by Auntie Pauline). After dinner Anna, Taryn and Emily all did a concert for us!

Day Ten - Shopping!!

This morning Mum said that we were able to go spend some of our money at the local shopping centre! I brought:

  • Some new Rip Curl board shorts
  • This cute boggle eyed Koala pen
  • 10 postcards for $3.00!!

I now have $2 left!! My cousin (Aidan) stayed another night with us as well! Jonty, Uncle Peter and Auntie Belinda came over again, and we went for a swim! I played with Jonty again! He's so cute!! I got to go down the slide with him as well!! We went for a walk in the afternoon and we stopped at Mc Donalds for an ice-cream! You wouldn't believe how much Jonty likes ice-cream, it's amazing!! We got some dinner from Red Rooster and then gave Jonty a bath!! Everyone soon went home and went to bed (except us and Aidan!)!

Day Nine - Jonty's cute!

Today we got all the Schwerzels to come round to our Appartment in the morning! We went for a swim first, had lunch, and then mucked around! I played qith Jonty for most of the afternoon, he is just an adorable bundle of joy!! We needed a bit of fresh air, so we went for a walk to the mall and brought an ice-cream to keep us going!! We gave Jonty a sleep in the stroller while we were walking!!
Aidan (my cousin) stayed the night with us because he goes to a private school so he is still on holidays!! Tomorrow we will just see Uncle Peter, Auntie Belinda and Jonty, and we get to go shopping!!

Day Eight - Picnic in the wind!!

Today we saw Jonty (our cousin who is 16 months old) for the first time!! He is so cute!! We had Auntie Pauline and her family come, Chris and his family, a family that Uncle Peter and Auntie Belinda know very well and Helen, Naomi and Louise, who all come from Holland!!
We went outside (in the wind) and had a BBQ (barbecue)!

Facts of the day:
  • The Table that my Dad was sitting on tipped over because there was too much weight on one side, in fact there was no weight on the other side!! My Dad ended up having his lunch all over him!!
  • Helen's sunglasses survived a 30 story drop! They didn't have many scratches on them and they weren't broken one bit!!

It was my Dad's Birthday today so we gave him his presents as well!!

Day Seven - The Aquarium

We drove ourselves into the city, to Darling Harbour which is where the Aquarium is! It was a wonderful place, lots of fish, and it's a bit like Kelly Tarltons (for all you New Zealanders), except it had animals that go under the sea, like sharks, seals, clown fish!

After we had an exhausting afternoon and then drove ourselves to the Domestic Airport, where we caught the plane to the Gold Coast Airport!! It was only a one hour flight, so it went fairly quickly! Auntie Pauline, Aidan, Taryn (my cousins), and Uncle Peter came to pick us up! We went in two cars to The Aegean Apartment where we said goodbye and went to our Apartment!! WE WERE ON THE 30TH FLOOR!!! Second to the top!! The view was beautiful from our bedrooms and the lounge!!
We got ready for bed and slept soundly!!

Day Seven - 7/07/07!!!

Relaxed this morning, and did everything slow (except the packing!)!
We are just about to go visit the Aquarium before we go to the airport! It's only going to be a one and a half hour plane trip, so it isn't that long at all!
I don't know when I will next be by a computer, so I might not be able to update my blog as much!!
I hope we have a good flight!!

Day Six - Last JAM & Hillsong!!!

Another great (last) day of JAM and I'm very sad that it had to end! But as people sometimes say, 'All good things must come to an end'!! My elective (dance) wasn't as good today because (again) they taught us the moves too quickly!! Saw Brooke Fraser today! She led a few songs for us, which was cool!
The Last Hillsong Conference was awesome as well!!
It's going to be sad that it's the end of Hillsong, and I can't wait till we go next time!!!

Day Five - Another JAM packed day!

The timetable was the same as all the other days except the Dance elective was better than yesterday! Another very good speaker today and a very good message as well! Starting to get used to all the people now! Tomorrow I get to buy my lunch at the stalls so hopefully there isn't much of a queue. Unfortunately Allie won't be with me tomorrow because she's flying back to America, but she gave me her email address so I can email her!!

Mum and Dad mangaged to buy two new Hillsong Cd's today...............both have very good songs on them!!!

Went to the Carlingford Shopping Centre, so we could buy some presents for my Dad's birthday (which will be held in the Gold Coast) and we also got to have dinner there!! The kids chose to have KFC and Mum and dad chose to buy a kebab! Both delicious meals!! Another great day in Aussie and hopefully more to come!

Heard the Team New Zealand lost the America's Cup by 2 seconds! Very disappointing for us New Zealand citizens, but hey, there's always another race (in another 4 years) !!

Day Four - JAM Rocks!!!

A very similar day today! Hanged out with Allie the whole day again! We have the same elective each day, so mine was dance again!! It wasn't as good today because he moved on too quickly and so we hadn't picked up the dance move! But oh well! The speakers at JAM are really good and they speak a very good message! Dad has gone with Paul (my Mum's cousins son) to the Hillsong Night Conference, and I am, well..........................just relaxing!

One new thing I found out (that was different to New Zealand) was that the paperboy's can just throw the paper out the window of a car and they don't need to put them in the letterbox! Very different, because I have never seen that happen before!! It's been another fantastic day and hopefully another one tomorrow!

Day Three - First JAM session!!

(JAM is my program I go to for the next 3 days!)
We woke up at 6:15am and it was go, go, go, from then on until 6:00pm!!! We caught the bus at 8am to the Hillsong Church, which was rather big, maybe two times bigger than our church! Our day program was awesome and the thing I enjoyed the most had to the the Elective I chose, which was Dance!

I was able to become friends with this American girl named Allie! We shared different things about our countries, America and New Zealand (which was quite fascinating!) and we got on really well!

Our day was really well organised and I enjoyed every minute of it! My sisters enjoyed there program as well (as it was different to mine) and I can't wait till tomorrow! I just hope I can meet up with Allie!

Day Two - Hillsong's Opening Session

The first Hillsong conference/session began at 4:30pm. We managed to get a good seat; and it was worth it! We the Watoto Children's Choir preformed for us, they were really good! It made the whole opening session a worthwhile one to go to!

Day Two - Town Hall

This morning we caught the train from Epping to the Town Hall station. We went on the train into the city so we could pick up our parking ticket. We then went to Starbucks. The children asked for a Fluffy (a type of drink you can get at a cafe in New Zealand), and we found out that they call the babychino's, weird! Shopping was the next on the list with a family of 3 girls! I managed to buy a present for each of my friends (but I can't tell you what it is because I will tell them!)! We could of caught the wrong train back to Epping, but we managed to ask someone and they said it was the third train, and it left in 20 minutes, so we then had time to go grab some lunch that we could eat on the train ( because it was basically lunchtime.)!

We are starting to get our bearings round Carlingford now, our next big trip will be finding our way to the Olympic Stadium, which will be later on tonight.

My sisters are watching a new DVD called Fairytopia, Mermadia which they are enjoying so far!

Day One - The car trip

The car trip was a very memorable experience!
We rented a car from the airport, went over the Sydney harbour bridge 3 times, and we also found out that one wrong turn (on the motorway) can be very costly! We ended up paying lots of road tolls as well! Australia has lots of tunnels (compared to New Zealand) on their motorways! We had to get used to them! The speed limits in Sydney compared to the limits in Auckland are very different, main streets could have a limit of 4o km per hr! I don't really want to talk much about the car trip, and there isn't much to say either, but there is one thing. We got to our destination safely!

Day One - The Plane Trip

Had brunch on the plane, it was rather nice! There was a bit of scrambled egg, a little sausage, some baked beans and some Yoghurt. A bun and some orange juice! The meal came with a really cool knife, fork and spoon, and I have kept them so I can show my friends! The plane trip was smooth and it went rather quickly (I didn't have to sleep.)! The take off was bumpy as well as the landing ( as always ) but overall it was a very smooth and peaceful flight! The weather was really nice above the clouds no rain at all! My mum made this cool travel pack for us and it included some lollies as well as a really cool pen!

Our next step is to drive our rental car from the airport to my Mum's cousins place ( which is where we will be staying for the next 5 days ).

Go Team New Zealand and win another race!
